Safe Start Back-to-School Program

This program provides on-campus support during the first week of school. As we welcome kindergarten students to Simis, we want to make sure they have a successful first day...and first week! Parent volunteers will be present at car drop off, bus gates and on the playground. Volunteers arrive on campus around 7:15 each morning and depart when the bell rings at 7:45 a.m. Thanks to all that have volunteered! We have filled all of our shifts so if you are interested in future opportunities, please visit simispats.org/volunteers

Pick up begins at 2:25 p.m. in the back parking lot.

  • Kindergarten students can play on the playground when the gates open at 7:20, until the bell rings at 7:45am.
  • Once the bell rings students will line up by class and will be escorted in by their teachers.
  • Each teacher will be assigned a COLOR so the students can easily identify where to place their belongings and line up.
  • Parents may accompany their student to the playground but may not enter the buildings and should leave campus when students line up for class. (Parents who are volunteering may stay on campus if they have signed in at the office and are wearing a volunteer badge.)

Teacher Information

Families will receive communications from the front office and teachers at the end of July. Communications will include important information in regards to Meet the Teacher, schedules and other important school information. Please be patient as the front office works to get all registrations processed and students allocated into classrooms.
