Thank you for your interest in becoming a Home Room Parent Volunteer!

Home Room Parents work closely with the Homeroom Parent Coordinator throughout the year to send communications, plan class parties, etc. The first step is to complete this interest form

If you are selected, you will be asked to attend a brief training with our HRP Coordinator and meet with your student's teacher to determine how best to support the class through activities, celebrations, etc. Trainings on how to update the Community Boards for classroom communications are being tentatively scheduled for the week of August 29th - exact dates to follow.

Being a Home Room Parent is a huge support to the teachers, but please remember that being HRP does not ensure you will be able to attend each classroom event. Opportunities to attend events will be dispersed throughout all parents in the classroom.

Thank you for offering your support!

What is a Home Room Parent?

Typically we limit leadership to two (2) HRPs per classroom, however we encourage all caregivers to get involved and support their student's teacher and classroom.

Some Home Room Parent responsibilities:
● Communicate to fellow parents in your student's classroom two times per month
● Assist with parties and other special events.
● Connect with your child’s teacher on a regular basis to assist with the coordination of any volunteering needs they may have within the classroom.
